CONTEXT
Work as a solo product designer in an internal on-site material management tool that supports the business with real on-site data.
PROBLEM
The business was in need of a more structured and detailed set of data, generated from a specific input feature, that directly impacted important reports.
PROCESS
The feature is of high complexity, with multiple integrations, data levels and contexts of use. Furthermore, there were limitations in the product and business for quantitative data gathering for research. Due to that, multiple cycles of validation and qualitative research in different areas were needed, using mid-fidelity prototypes as important communications assets with stakeholders and developers. This allowed for a systemic approach, that reduced relevant risks and allowed for a solution that generates more value.
